The South Down – Long Bay Sales Report – December 2017

The South Down – Long Bay Sales Report – December 2017

Things were pretty slow in December in South Down and Long Bay with just three sales.

The South Down - Long Bay Sales Report - December 2017An 1,860 square foot, three bedroom, two and a half bath unit built in 2001 in the Hamptons at 42 Hampton Court was on the market at $329,900 for just 10 days before being put under contract at $310,000. This unit was completely remodeled and has a new kitchen with granite and stainless appliances, granite and tile bathrooms, new laminate flooring, and carpet, new windows, and even a new front door. Nice stuff in low to medium price points always sell quickly!

The South Down - Long Bay Sales Report - December 2017A new construction at 85 Captains Walk also found a new owner at $630,000 which was slightly less that the asking price of $649,000. This 2,291 square foot, three bedroom, two and a half bath, open concept home has a living room with soaring ceilings and a gas fireplace, a kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, a first floor master suite, and an attached two car garage.

The South Down - Long Bay Sales Report - December 2017The third sale was  over in Long Bay at 34 Aberry Drive. This 4,623 square foot open concept home has four bedrooms, three full and two half baths, and was constructed in 2003. It has an eat-in chef’s kitchen, formal dining room, large living room with gas fireplace, master suite with vaulted ceilings and gas fireplace,  a lower level media room and office,  attached three car garage, and lake and mountain views! Pretty nice. This home was listed at $809,000 and sold for $770,000.

Hopefully, if everyone hasn’t froze to the ground, January will be a pretty good month!
