Bike Week Garage Mahals

Bike Week Garage MahalsBike Week Garage Mahals

Motorcycle Week and Father’s Day are here and it is time to once again focus on what is important to the man of the house; the Garage Mahal. A guy can live in just about any kind of house as long as there is a garage of epic proportions to retreat to when he needs to be alone or wants to visit his true love…that 1936 Knucklehead. Of course a couple old Fords or a vintage Corvette will do just as well. So, for anyone looking for the proper amount of garage space in a new home here are some options in the area.

Bike Week Garage MahalsStarting right up the street from our office in Meredith at 36 Plymouth Street we find a property that has garage space for seven vehicles. Right in town! You can walk to George’s from there! There’s an oversize detached one car garage right next to the house, a 36’X 36’ two bay garage with 12’ doors that is heated with a direct vent unit or wood furnace, and there’s a pole barn for storing your overflow! In case your wife asks, the house is an 1860’s vintage cape that has been nicely updated and maintained. It has 1,542 square feet of space with three bedrooms, one bath, an eat in kitchen, sunroom, and even a first floor bedroom in case you can’t make it up the stairs after a hard night in the shop. The home is being offered at $299,000 or only $42,714 per stall.

Bike Week Garage MahalsIf you need just a little more space for the vehicles, walk a little further up Plymouth Street to #78. Here you will find eight stalls. There’s an attached one car heated garage/workshop, a four bay garage with 12’ ceilings and auto open doors (of course), and a three bay heated carriage house with an office. This sounds to me like the perfect place to house your auto collection. The home is a 1786 vintage four bedroom, three bath cape with an updated kitchen, wide pine floors, exposed beams, a farmers porch, deck, gazebo and lots of curb appeal. It even has an in law apartment. This property is listed at $425,000.

Bike Week Garage MahalsIf you’d like the same amount of space with a newer home and a more rural location check out the property at 311 Alton Mountain Rd in Alton. Here you will find both detached and attached four car garages that come with a spacious three bedroom contemporary home that has 3,118 square feet of space.  The home was built in 1985 and has a bright open floor plan with cathedral ceilings and tongue and groove pine walls and ceilings in many of the rooms. Very pretty! You’ve got plenty of privacy sitting on a 7.3 acre lot with 300 acres of conservation land around you. That’s just in case you are in the mood for doing burn-out shows with your Sportster in the driveway. No one will care. This home is priced at $419,900. Check it out!

Bike Week Garage MahalsOver at 25 Bridget Circle in Gilford there is a home with a two car under and another detached two  car garage that just might fit you. This 2001 vintage home has Victorian curb appeal with  a large wrap around front porch. The interior has a newer updated kitchen with granite counter tops,   stainless appliances, and hardwood floors. There is a formal dining room, reading room, den, living room with a fireplace, and a lower level exercise/family room. There are four bedrooms including the master suite with its own fireplace. This pretty home is listed at $418,000.

Bike Week Garage MahalsDown in Barnstead at 39 Halfmoon Bay Drive is a property that has seven stalls and waterfront so you can store your boat, jet-skis, snowmobiles, Harley, and Viper all in one place and still have room for your lawn equipment. There is an attached, heated three car garage with an in-law suite above it and a beautiful detached and heated four bay garage with 10’ doors just up the driveway. This is pretty close to heaven right here! The home is a 2,870 square foot, three bedroom, three bath contemporary home that feels perfect for being on the lake. It has a chef’s kitchen with high end appliances, center Island with prep sink, granite, large dining area, a living room with a fireplace and wood stove, sun room, along with a first floor bedroom. You’ll find beautiful wide pine floors and natural woodwork. Upstairs are a large master with two closets, guest room, and full bath with custom tile soaking tub and steam shower. And don’t forget the guest suite over the garage for your mechanic.  There is plenty of privacy on this 4.5 acre lot and after a short walk through the pines you’ll find 200’ of shore front with a seasonal dock. Like I said, this is pretty close to heaven. This property is priced at $789,000.

So there you have it! Garage Mahals are available for every budget. Now get on your Harley and lets go look at some of them!
